This course will give learners the essential knowledge needed to shape and maintain appropriate fiscal controls and safeguards. Through thoughtful study, conversation about and application of the ideas, questions and activities in this course, the learners will be able to:

  • Understand the importance and types of internal financial controls;
  • Communicate with your affiliate treasurer and accountant using applicable terminology;
  • Design and implement an internal controls improvement plan for your affiliate.
